Upcycled rag garlands 5ft - 5.5ft in length, made from approximately 240 fabric strips each. Created for Dan and Jen's late summer wedding celebration/reception. Predominantly ivory and cream, with pops of brighter colour and earth tones.

A small amount of new printed fabrics were purchased to include decor themes.

Materials used: thrifted bed sheets, curtain panels, tablecloths, secondhand fabric, printed quilting fabric, lace ribbon, salvaged buttons, salvaged beads, assorted beads, beading cord, jute rope

Jen Bateman started drawing and writing around the age of three years-old after receiving their first box of crayons and never stopped.

With no formal training except a handful of K-12 art classes, and no post-high school education, Jen is a self-taught and self-directed artist in the truest sense. The passion to build, communicate, explore, and share authentic human experiences with others is the driving force behind all of Jen's creative projects.
